Help me with my art?

i am in the middle of my art gcse and i am running out of ideas as what to do my subject is picasso and human portraiture iam studying his late work suchas weeping woman and dora marr but i am having trouble turning an image of my friends face in to a model of the weeping woman i also need loads more ideas as to what i acn do to bulk up my work i am open to any ideas tips help and advice

Picasso did a lot more portrait type work than just the 'weeping woman' style stuff. If that's what you've decided to do, it isn't that difficult of a method although don't expect it to just look like a masterpiece... Picasso was a REALLY good painter, regardless of what style he was using. The basic method of abstraction in cubism is to break down the planes of the face, and put many of them on the "front" plane. Think in terms of unfolding a cube and laying it out flat like a piece of paper. As for bulking up your work, it's not clear that your work is necessarily lacking anything except for your own confidence in it, so you'll have to ask yourself why aren't you confident in your work and what would help you regain that confidence.
