Yes, I've won some of the Scholastic Art Awards regionally and one of my close friends went to Nationals in New York last year. The nationals are very tough, especially if the award is for his whole portfolio. I cannot stress enough that there is a lot of tough competition. The important thing to remember is to just be thankful to be there and that no matter what the judges decision on your piece(s) is you should remember that it's just their opinions-not the worlds. |
