had more reason than Richard to kill off the Plantangenet heirs. Most of them seem to have died after Henry succeeded to the Throne.

I suspect you are right. I certainly think that history has treated Richard very badly and anyone interested in that theory might like to read "The Seventh Son" by Reay Tannahill. Although a novel,, it is based on the author's belief that Richard was quite a good guy and did not murder the princes.
