The devils gate, this is a poem read it and tell me what you think?

one by one they enter his gate
one by one they fall to his hate
one by one they cry
one by one they die

i know it is not the happiest poem but.......

good: it reminds me of life under an evil king or tyrant, who takes joy of killing off his kingdom's residents. it is a bit sad, though.
