Question:

What is your favorite Museum and why?

Love them, natural science is my son's favorites and I love the fine art exhibits of master works. We both have super fun at the kids museum when they have a huge "mouth" and you can sit on the teeth and learn about good dental care and the human body.

Smithstonian in Wash. D. C. There is so much for every interest there. The buildings (Natural History, Science ect) are so huge it would days to take in every thing. Only thing one needs is time and maybe a bit of money for a lunch break. Cannot remember if there were entrance fees. I remember when I was 11, my dad took our family there. I was really into the "good olden days," and loved the dresses that were from the turn of the century. There was also a doll house that had everything imaginable. Choo choo trains. I dreamed of getting locked in the museum in order just to experience the 2 story old house house that was constructed to give one an idea of what type of houses that people of the time lived in. To try on the dresses. Just go hog wild in a place that had enough to satisfy my senses from that time period. This was back in 1970 so when I visited again looking for those relics, they had gone and been filled with new objects. At the time Aug 2006 it was a display of American Negro history and segregation.
That took me a good day just to get through that floor that I had to come back again just to cover something else! It is well worth the time.
