I am doing a poem for english class. :] It's an extended metaphor poem about Family. What should i compare my family to? any ideas?

I don't know if you meant word or a phrase but here are some ideas I formed. it's all in phrases. Ribbon of moonlight, spiritual path, cherry blossoms, an eagle??s resting nest, untimely haven, sanctuary for slumber, union of worlds, seaside comfort..good luck
