Need help with coming up with poem?

I have to come up with a poem about high school for english class. It needs one simile, one metaphor, and one personification. it needs 7-10 lines. I need help with the simile. I'm thinking of comparing high school with a roller coaster ride. xD but it's hard. I suck at poetry. I can't express my feelings. ='[ any help would be appreciated.

What about comparing it to manic-depressive disorder or being bi-polar.... most teens are and these are dramatic ups and downs that teens "perceive" as happening to them in the daily drama of their high school lives.
