Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

I have a master's in Interdisciplinary Humanities. I feel like it's too chaotic and too unfocused of a program of study. I had some great teachers, but all of them were in other departments.

There's something of a text book in the core courses, usually a too-comprehensive book on Western Humanities. Most classes will focus on certain primary works that the professor chooses and some secondary critical essays that the professor finds enlightening. I had to choose a period of history and then choose four classes about that period. I ended up in two history classes, an English literature course, and a French literature course. The rest of my degree was similar to an English degree.
