Question: I have a Twilight question!?

Why does the Cullen family even bother to go to school!? I mean, they don't get along with anyone!. what is the point of trying to associate with normal teens anyway!? And wouldn't they be bored of going to school over and over again!. why do they bother!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It seems pointless to me too!. They could just pretend to be homeschooled and do whatever they like!. They have the funds and the intelligence to do anything!. And like I sort of get that they do it because they'd get bored at home, but they claim to be bored at school too!. A bit silly!. I think they should get jobs!. Edward could be a composer!. They are a bit odd could hide away from the world so it doesn't hurt his creativity or something!. And Rosalie could be a mechanic!.

I think it's silly they go to school!.
But if they didn't then they wouldn't have met Bella and the story wouldn't have ever really started!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Three reasons come to mind:
1) The book was supposed to be aimed at school aged teens, so it's set in a setting they can relate to!.
2) If there's a school aged kid in any town long enough and wandering around during the school hours, some busy body Mrs!.Grundy type is sure to put a call to social services, the cops, etc!.!.!.!.!.
3) Easy way to pick out victims!. After all, school is a quick way to point out who's high profile locally and who's barely noticed (e!.g!. unlikely to be noticed if missed, etc)!. also, easy access to everyone's address, phone number, habits, etc!. through the grapevine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I don' see the point in this either!. I mean they are all old enough to look as if they have finished high school, ( which they already have several times) so why bother going to school!?

lol good point, i think its so they look more normal, even thought the kids end up alienated and pretty much hang out with each other, at least they go to school!. If they were home schooled that would just make them seem even weirder!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
