Question: (twilight) How did Alice (Cullen) know her name when she woke up-She woke up alone, with NO memory of the past!?

I was just thinking!.!.!. How did Alice know her name!? I know that she figured out the Mary Alice Brandon part in New Moon, but I mean how did she even know just "Alice"!? She COMPLETELY forgot her human life, AND she woke up abandoned and alone!. PLEASE HELP ME! Thank you:D

That's a very good question!. I assume that she had a bit of memory of the simplest things such as eating and easy tasks!. Your name is burned into you forever and it's hard to forget!. I think it would also have been hard for Stephenie to have to include another short story on how she realized her name had Alice in it!. Sometimes if authors are pressured like Stephenie is they don't play everything out in their head!. That's why I make sure I do as a writer!.

Since I do not know the leech personally, I'll have to assume she probably did not know her name so there was a possibility she did not use her name at all!. No one knows for sure what she did once she became a leech!. It's been years and the only thing you know is the time when she dies, becomes a vampire and then you know about her meeting Jasper!.
Don't forget she's psychic as well, who knows what she could have seen!.
