There's so many, here is just a few good ones:

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut - a sub-par ww2 soldier is captured and ends up on weird sci-fi adventure - great writer

Blood Meridian by Cormac Mccarthy - more advanced reading, a fast paced and riviting western story

Watership Down by Richard Adams - a fantastic tale of rabbit survival that anyone can enjoy

Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay - more political and romantic fantasy than dragons and unicorns fantasy, very well done

Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn - a good, darker fantasy trilogy (4 books) about a boy's struggle as his world falls apart and he's brought into the thick of it all

Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins - an interesting tale intertwining 8th century eurasia and modern day america - and very well done

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - funny and light, you don't need to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy it - you just need an open mind and a sense of humour!.

Game of Thrones by George RR Martin - great fantasy with lots of action, bloodshed, and death!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You might enjoy the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz!. If you've seen the movie, don't judge the book, because the movie was pathetic!. There's 6 (I think) books in the series, and they're really great!.

also by Anthony Horowitz, there's the Power of Five series!. While the title sounds pretty lame, the books are really, really good!. Raven's Gate is the first novel, and it's creepily cool!.

The Chronicles of Narnia are great books, too!. Before I read them, I was like "Pff, I'm not reading a boring kid's story," but the books are far from kid's stories, and really interesting!.

I was also going to suggest books by Eion Colfer and Christopher Paolini, but you've already read them!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know that the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice aren't new!.!. but they are amazing, maybe try them!.
also Patricia Cornwell has a new one out, I think it's just called Scarpetta (it actually is new) try that if you liked the rest of the series!.
I'm reading Perfume by Patrick Suskind at the moment; it's pretty good!. I would recommend it :)
Hope you find something you like!Www@QuestionHome@Com
