Question: Does anyone know if Stephenie Meyer is making the sequel to The Host anytime soon!?

I read the first one, and it left off with so much unanswered questions, and more theories and stuff!. I think she NEEDS to make a second one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In an interview last July with Entertainment Weekly, Meyer said she had rough outlines for two sequels to the Host, but she was not sure whether or not she would be writing it!.

In the moviefone interview with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, she said she would not disclose what she was working on!. She learned that if she says what she is working on, then her fans become rabid crazy freaks (ok, those were my words, not hers) and expect to be able to see said project on the shelves within 6 months!. That is not how it works!. It takes much longer!. So, she decided to not reveal what she is working on instead of dealing with that!.

She DID say however that she wants to work in a new world, meaning she does not want to revisit the Twilight universe (in case she has not made that obvious) or the Host just yet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think she said that she already had rough outlines for how the plot was going to go!. I'm also pretty sure that she's either working on that mermaid story she's talked about or relaxing with her family after all the Twilight movie/Breaking Dawn hype!. It'll be a while!. (Which is all well and good for me!. I really liked the ending to The Host and I'm kind of unhappy that she's going to expand on it unnecessarily!.
