perhaps the relationship between the Creator (i think he was called Victor) and the Creation (i!.e!. the monster)!. i have read the book, but a while ago so i apologize if i am vague!.

but when Victor created this monster, he also created a responsability for it, and an absolute bond, but he denies this responsibilty!. he choses to "run and hide" instead, out of fear i suppose!. you could compare this to maybe a parent/child relationship, which is unconditional, or even God/man!. The former is the Creator, and the latter the Creation!. (i don't think it's a religious book, but you could try the thesis out anyway lol)!. how much blame can we really put upon Frenkenstein, and how much on Victor!? It's like when a child is really bad- who do we blame, the child or the parent!? the child is young and naive, it doesn't know better!.

going further, you could liken this to how God created man (i am NOT religious btw) and how man has become corrupted!. do we blame man, or He who created man!? most people say we cannot blame God because he gave us free will, therefore he shakes off the responsability!. we CHOSE to do bad, therefore it's our fault!. so you could almost contradict your first argument by saying that although Victor created a monster, the monster has free-will, and can decide for himself!.

therefore a child has freewill, and can decide for him/herself to to bad things!!

two sides to an argument lol, hope it helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Frankenstein asks the age-old question of: has science gone too far!? Victor creates something in the name of science, only to be horrified by the results!. That's a question that's still ripe in our own time!. There's also the duality of humanity and monstrosity and where they match up in an individual!.

Maybe explore the theme of morality in the book

Both do bad deeds in the book but remembering from what I read Victor Frankenstein has less morality than the creature he created, who he rejects and demonises more or less straight away

There is a lot to explore in the relationship between the two and im sure you can find something in thereWww@QuestionHome@Com

go to Spark notes, they give you a summary!. i had to right a paper on it last semester!. you could talk about the feminism in the book, how the women characters had stereo typical roles like raisinfg children and taking care of the home!. they were submissive and unaccomplished!.

and you can talk about how the monster was unhuman but somehow was able to have human feelings and emotions, also a feminist aspectWww@QuestionHome@Com
