Do most girls only like romance books?

Question: Do most girls only like romance books!?

i mean i am a girl, but i like more then just romance!. i am writing a book and its more adventure Fantasy, and action then romance!. romance is there, but not like how it was in twilight!. its a girl main character so my friends told me girls are go to be my target (people say most guys don't read books with girls as main character!. i don't know if this is true or maybe i should ask that question!. lol)

Lol I think most guys will read it if the main person is girl but they prefer if it isn't in there point of view!.

That's not true lots of guys like girls as the main character, as long as they are attractive!. Look at anime, lot's of guys like anime, and it has lot's of girls as main characters!. But, they are always pretty, or pretty for a cartoon I guess =) I don't usually like really romantic plots and I'm a girl!. An example of a story that had romance but was good is Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, it had romance in the plot, it had female main characters, and lots of guys liked it!. It's all in the way you work the romance into the plot, and not making it too cheesy!. BTW, I hated Twilight for that exact reason!. Too much cheesy romance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm guessing that although most females like romance to some degree (whether it be slightly or full-blown), I wouldn't say that they only like romance books!. Take me for example!. I like a slight touch of romance in the occasional book I read!. But I prefer psychological books, mystery, and fantasy as the predominant theme!.

If you are refering to teen girls more specifically, it could be the Twilight fad!. But more likely, it is just the rush of hormones--not even I am completely immune (I'm 17)!.

Guys won't turn from a book simply because it is narrated by a female!. A lot of them will turn if it becomes too sappy and!.!.!.well!.!.!.feminine (for lack of a better word)!.

I'm not a fan of romance novels, as far as the genre of romance goes!. However, with it being a fantasy genre with romance and action in there, it will get a lot of publicity!. IF IT IS WRITTEN WELL!. That's all you should focus on!. Don't worry about what sex your target audience is, aim for the age group and the story!.

ROMANCE books are my life!. lol!. That is pretty much all I read!. Romance,Romance, Romance!. Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte!.!. I am that kind of girl!. I've always liked anything got to do with romance, especially in the 18 or 19th century!.!. The romantic era!. But I still read other books!. I don't like romance novels!. The plot of the story and what it has to offer is what I am interested in!. Many, not all, story plots do have at least some sort of light romance, but it does not need to take over the story my any means!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
