Question: >>> ECLIPSE <<< Fans, Important Question!?
In Eclipse (which I have heard is really good, am I right!?) it has a weird passage:

Page 16, chapter 1:
"Juneau had an average of 321 over cast days per year!. The first was my prerequisite, the second was Edward's!."

What is Juneau and what does this WHOLE passage mean!?!?

Page 17, Chapter 1:
"Time had not made me immune to his perfection of his face"
* FEW LINES DOWN*
"Partially obscured by a tangle of bronze hair"

How can IMMUNE make sense in this sentence!?

I loved Eclipse

I believe that Juneau is a town or a college in America!.

The passage is talking about what college/town they wanted to attend/ live in and 321 overcast days a year is perfect for edward because he can come out in the day time with bella

To me immune make sense because whenever she looks at Edward her heart still flutters and she gets that feeling in her stomache and becomes speechless!. It fits because if Meyer is trying to get the point across that it is a type of illness she will never overcome when she looks at edward!.

Hope i helpedWww@QuestionHome@Com

Juneau is the state capital of Alaska, and I believe Juneau was the city of that the Alaskan College Bella applied to, if not Juneau would most likely be the nearest town to that said college!.

Bella's prerequisite was that the college that the two attended had to be far away for Forks, Washington (so when her transformation takes place, there would be plenty of excuses why she couldn't visit her dad at Forks for a long time)!. Edward's prerequisite was that it had to be overcast if he wanted to be outside during the day!.

The immune line refers to Bella's attraction to Edward, something she would never loseWww@QuestionHome@Com

Juneau is in Alaska which is still close to Washington where Charlie is and a pre-requisite is something that makes up or that you must have before you start in another class!. (usually a lower division class before upper division)

So the fact that Juneau is close to Charlie and the rest of the Cullens is a bonus for bella
and the second thing is that Edward can chill out during the day for 321 days yippeeWww@QuestionHome@Com

the first part is just referring back to the fact that edward cant be seen in sunlight (overcast = the sun is hidden behind clouds) beause of the shiny skin thing!.
if i recall, there was something else before the thing about juneau (maybe that it was far away from forks, idk) that bella is saying is the reason she wants to go to college in alaska, and this sentence is saying that the first part (the part about alaska being far away from forks) is her prereqesite/reason for wanting to go there and the fact that there are a vast majrity of overcast days is edwards reason!. im sorry if that makes no sense at all but thats the only way i can think to explain it!.

the thing about being immune is that even though bella has been exposed to bella and his hotness millions of times, she has still not grown use to (or immune) to his beauty and it still "dazzles" her as she describes it!.

hope i helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it is a good book!.
I have no idea what Juneau is or what the passage means!.
And she (SM) uses immune in that sentence to say that even after a long time of Bella admiring Edward it hasn't dulled down the fact that she notices all these things without a hint of them becoming less special or perfect to Bella!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

hahahaha ( again)
jeneua is a place in alaska!.
she liked it beacuse it was far away from her family
he liked it cuz he cant go out in the sun and they have alot of overcast ( no sun) days

she wasnt affected so strongly by it!. like at first she was SO surpries and amazed!. but after awhile she got used to itWww@QuestionHome@Com

Juneau is a city in Alaska!.

Immune makes sense in that sentence!. What she's saying is she still gets all weak in the knees by seeing his beauty!. She's not immune to his beauty!. Look up the definition!. I thought I could explain that better and now I don't know that I can!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

not sure about the first one,
but in the second one it means that even though she has seen his face so many times, the beauty of it still amazes her!. it means time has not made her immune to his beauty, you know!?
:) hope i helpedWww@QuestionHome@Com

Juneau is a college in Alaska!. Meaning when she is turned into a vampire they could go outside more often, like in Forks!.

Immune can work!. It means no matter how long she has spent with him she still can't believe his perfection!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, you understand correctly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
