Question: I am trying to remember the name of an Edgar Allen Poe story!?

A man finds himself in a room - the doors are locked and the windows are nailed shut from the outside!. A gorilla may or may not be involved!. Am I thinking of Poe or Hitchcock!? That's all I can remember from the story though so it's a bit hard to Google it!. And I want to know how it ends, so I want to read it again!.
