To the fans of Twilight:

I hear people say that they read it and loved it but then it became popular and now they either find it less appealing or don't like it at all!. Why is that!?

I still like it all but it's just overload!. It seems like anytime something gets popular anymore it just gets hyped WAY too much and I get tired of seeing it everywhere; t-shirts, cd's, books, magazine covers, talk shows, etc, etc!. I'm sure the next TV season will have some shows about teenage vampires and there will be similar movies popping up too!.
Another thing is with books, a lot of of the fun is that you get make up what you think everyone looks like and sounds like, and the settings too!. Even if the books give really good descriptions there is still some room for your own imagination!. If the movies don't match your interpretation or are changed from the book's storyline it can kind of ruin things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really like Twilight :) i only found out about it a few months ago and i loved it, but i did think it began to get annoying how everywhere they are talking about it, on the internet, youtube and other sites its just clogged up with twilight this and Twilight that!. i wont shoot you silly! i think your question was good and i think the answer is people stopped liking it because lots of people like to think they are unique and interesting, and like to come out with random things and are proud of them!. Twilight was not well heard of at first and when people read it they were like "wow this is amazing! Why isn't it more popular!?" and then when it started to spread like wild fire the first people who loved it were like oh no its turned into a Harry Potter remake, so it was constantly talked about and every detail of the story was picked over, so it almost lost its mystery, sorry im rambling :P but yea i had a friend who used to love dressing her own way, but when people started copying her and the trend began to spread and her style of clothes started to be sold in big stores she lost interest, just wanting to look different and anyone else!. sorry this message is long but i hope i helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think people do that for different reasons; attention, breaking dawn or the movie may have dissapointed them or the fact that they aren't that unique as before!.!.!.

Personally, I have stopped luvin the book caus I read it ova a year or two ago (n then not many people knew it) n have just grown ova it!. I'm not denying it's a great book, it's just life does go on after twilight n there are plenty of otha things that are just as good or even better to read n watch too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's what happened to me!.
I'm the kind of person who prefers not to go with the crowd - it's annoying enough having EVERY girl I know talk non-stop about the 'alluring Edward Cullen' and whatnot!.
I guess it's a sort of personal decision!.

((Actually, it's less appealing to me BECAUSE everyone else loves it, that just happens!. I just don't find it so amazing anymore, I didn't decide for that to happen!. It's just frustrating and it just subconsciously happened!. i was a fangirl before it was popular and it kills me when i see all these people who pretend to be obsessed because its popular and carry the books around as if theyre like the new "it" bag etc!.
i am obsessed with twilight so i might be a bit hypocritical, but i dont think its less appealing because of this, its almost more appealing cos you want to show them that you were there first, and to get there butts out of your twilight world!.
and even on here, the people whos names are like mrs edward cullen!. a year ago people thought i was pathetic when i said things like that, and now the same people are "obsessed"
it being popular does not change my opinion of the books, it changes my opinion of the people around me
so dont go firing questions like that because its what you think!. its not true

They want to feel unique!.
It quite pathetic!. No-body can ever be unique now!. The world is getting smaller and shallower ever single day!.
Just because some-one likes the same thing as them, they don't like it any-more!. That is just selfish and shallow!. Thinking that since the majority of the crowd like it, it is not good enough for them anymore!.
Besides, there will always be a group A or group B!.

Group A love Twilight, and group B hate it!. So really you are not being unique because you have to be in one of those crowds anyway!.

When you hear about it non-stop every day from Y!A, your sister, your friends, and your damn mother, is it any wonder!?

I'm sure it will die down, but i can't drown this feeling!. It has everyone brainwashed, and all the teenage girls looking for a real-life Edward Cullen; and in doing so, setting their standards into the upper stratosphere!.
