Question: What is the speed reading method where you!.!.!.!?

Hi! Does anyone know what the speed reading method is where you simply scan over a page and are able to understand the basic of what's going on!? Is that simply skimming, or is it called something else!? Thank you so much!. Happy Holidays!.
