Ha, ha, don't get me started, i haven't got that much room to write, but here's a few things I look for in a writer!.

Someone who is romantic and can make a love scene the most beautiful thing you've ever read!.
Someone who is aware of the world around them, who can describe everyday things as if we were seeing them for the first time!.
Someone who can make me feel scared, sad, lonely, happy, cheerful or weepy,
Someone who is so good that I'll keep buying their books, no matter how many there are!
Someone who commands my mind!. When I go to college I want to be counting down those ticking moments until I am back to my book!. When I go to the supermarket I want to be thinking, I could eat this one handed with the book in the other hand!. When I'm in the bath I want to forget how long I've been in there and suddenly realise the water's freezing!. When I - well, you get the idea ;)
Someone who is original and isn't a photocopy of the other writers before them!. This can be hard as there have been books written on practically everything!. But if they can come up with something that no one else has, then that grabs my attention and respect!.!.!.

There's other stuff, but I shan't go on, lol!. But in answer to what genre I read, I read practically everything - except most horror and sci-fi!. But classics are a fave, as are crime novels! Agatha Christie rules that domain!. :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

I like how a writer can make you feel as if youre right there in the book, experiencing everything they are writing about!. also, how they make the situations theyre writing about seem real, you know, like its actually capable of happening!. I usually read romances and crime novels!. I love Diana Gabaldon and Philip Margolin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like a mix of books, I've always loved old classics like Jane Eyre, and Great Expectations, and I went through a big romantic phase where I read tonnes of romantic novels, and my boyfriends trying to get me into his sci-fi stuff (but I can't see that happening) and recently I've tried to expand on my reading, and I've just read the whole bible, and harder Charles Dickens novels, and George Orwell and that!.

The authers I really like though are ones that manage to make you laugh and make you cry!. Ones that set the perfect scene and describe the people right down to the details!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like a writer who can move me, who can touch my soul with his writing!. Who can make me laugh or cry or go along with his characters!. I like writers who go straight to the point and don't describe things so much!.

I mostly read classics, chick-lit, fiction, romance, supernatural!. Classical authors tend to describe things so much (which I hate) but they make up for it with their beautiful writing and lovely characters!. I like chick-lit books because they make me laugh and the heroines are so silly and funny!. Ditto with fiction and the supernatural!. I like to read about vampires, mostly!. (NOT TWILIGHT SERIES, I hate that!.) Romance novels just melt me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like books to be set in areas that i am familiar with!. I prefer books set in the UK as opposed to say the USA!. I like them well written in good english!. Ian Rankin is a typical example of writing that i like!. I know the street he was brought up in and have had a drink in the bars mentioned in his books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i like writers that can capture emotion, and make you feel what the characters are feeling!. Books with unexpected twists are good, too!. Lord of the Rings is my absolute favorite, because its so original, though R!.E!. Fiest rocks!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I always liked Charles Dickens and Arthur Conan Doyle!.Dickens stories are very touching and kind of real which can happen in any one's life!.Sherlock holmes stories are very interesting!.The way he finds the criminals are superb!.I just love it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
