Question: Harry and snape occlumancy question!?

why did snape have the pensieve in this office right before harry and him were about to first practice!?

why wouod harry have to practice occlumancy on snape if the purpose is only to strengthen his skills in defending oncoming legimancy !?!?(stopping someone from reading his mind)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Harry wasn't practicing!. He got angry with Snape because he saw some disconcerting memories!. Therefore, he too went in to Snape's mind sort of in revenge!. Although Snape was helping him, Harry was just upset because he saw those memories of his parents, etc, private things!. So Harry "gave him a taste of his own medicine!." As for the pensieve, it doesn't seem out of the ordinary for Snape to have his own personal items in his own personal office!. Of course, he did not leave Harry as he had expected to!. He was upset at Harry's insolence!. He left in anger not thinking anything of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Harry didn't practice occlumency on Snape purposely!. Harry didn't intened on using it to break Snape's mind but only to have him stop using it on him because of the memories Snape was breaking into ( His parents, Sirius Black!.!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

He accidentally practiced legimancy on Snape!. It seems pretty natural that Snape would have his pensieve in his office!. He probably didn't plan on leaving Harry alone with it though (he left unexpectedly) !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He had it in there because Snape had his precious memories in there!. And he was practicing with Snape because Snape is really good at it and Voldemort is an expert!. Hope my input helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
