Question: Driving me crazy, Book about the English Veterinarian!? !?

I cannot remember for the life of me the name of the books by that English vet that wrote about all the creatures he had to take care of!. One story was of the cats that he couldn't tame but his wife did!. Since I'm now taking care of two wild cats that I can get near but no one else can I wanted to order the book!.
He had myriad stories of his various creatures!. Sorry this isn't clear enough!. It's been over a decade since I read them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
