Question: Harry Potter VS!. Twilight Series!?
Okay so all I've been hearing about lately is this new sensation series Twilight!. It's even drawn comparisons to the infamous Harry Potter series which I've read and absolutely adore!. Now I've never actually read any of the Twilight books but I bought the book and got 20 pages in before it bored the living **** out of me!.
When it comes to demographics the only ******* people who read this god-for-saken series is girls! Don't get me wrong it may be a best-seller and all but I haven't met one STRAIGHT MALE who has read this book and said they enjoy it!.!.!.
I seize to believe that is anywhere near comparable in quality to Harry Potter and no matter how many copies it sells, it will NEVER be as good a read a HP!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Harry Potter is WAY better and will always be!. I LOVE twilight but it doesn't come close!. Its true that only 12-16 year old girls read it, which may explain it's sickening popularity at my all female high school! (remember, this is coming from a fan, but do we really need to put red marker dots on our necks and 'edward cullen bit me' on our shoes!?)Www@QuestionHome@Com
i'm on the harry potter team!because it is more exciting and adventurous!.and look at how the [twilight]movie was directed it doesn't really show the whole plot in the book!.i know that harry potter books will not come true and it doesn't really exist but i don't believe that there will be a living EDWARD CULLEN here in our generation!.i don't really hate the book, the one i hated is the obsessed gays and girls in EDWARD CULLEN!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I agree Twilight will never be as good as Harry Potter, but I'm not going to get into details, because I will just get pissed off because Twilight is my third favorite book series!.
But I do want to say that two of my guys friends (who are both straight) both like the Twilight books and movie and I have a third straight guy friend who likes the movie!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
i like twilight a lot but i agree that harry potter is the better of the two

Of course it bored you, the first 20 pages are so boring, i pretty much felll asleep reading them!. you can't really say they are stupid just because you've read 20 pages!. read the whole series, and then you can say whatever you want about them!. also, what you said, "the only ******* people who read this god-for-saken series is girls!!.!.!.I haven't met one STRAIGHT MALE who has read this book and said they enjoy it!.!.!. I actually quite enjoyed the Jacob book inside Breaking Dawn!.
The parts leading to the Volturi war was pretty awesome, too!.
TBH, I found the first 2 books of Harry Potter to be quite boring!.
I found the 3rd book to be even MOAR boring and a bit confusing!.
I found the 4th book to be amazing!.
5th and 6th were uneventful IMO, but worth reading!. 7th was a disappointment!.
So yeh, I only truly liked one book out of the seven!.
In Twilight, I got bored in the first book up until the James part, whom I wished could have survived!. In New Moon I got bored the f*ck out of!. The only real highlight of this book was that Edward got obliterated by both Jacob and Jane in the same fashion!. Eclipse was a bit disappointing with how easy the last fight was!. Breaking Dawn kept me amused through the whole book though!. How the hell does a vampire impregnate a human!? Who the hell cares! Jacob's book was quite entertaining; not for the bad reasons, either!. The third book, Bella's, was a bit annoying as her Mary Sue levels were over 9000!. In that book, she made me lose most of my Mary Sue hatred divided between Edward and Bella and gave it all to Bella!. The ending made you keep thinking there was gonna be a fight and became a bit annoying at the end!. The only real reason I liked any part of this was because Caius kills one of the Denali sisters so quickly and so unforgivingly that it made me hate him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Your right about the Harry Potter thing!. They don't possess the literary quality that HP does!. HP had mystery and secrets, complex characters, strong plot, and J!.K!. Rowling created a whole new world!. The story was magical!. Twilight has its strong points, but its far from perfect!. However I do know a couple of straight guys who like it!. I think they think that it is well written and they like the action that comes in the later part of the book!. Twilight will never sell as much as HP and will never be as good for most people!. But it is mosts girls idea of the perfect book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
