Question: I'm writing a book!.!.!.should I use chapters!?

I've decided to write a book about my personal turmoil with a mental illness (trichotillomania)!.!.!.the only thing is I haven't the slightest on how to get it started!. Should I use chapters with each having a different subject matter all dealing with the illness!? How should I get it to get published(when the time comes)!.!.!.any help!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
