Question: Help!? Writing a story, need help!!!!?
Okay, I'm writing a story, and I have some problems:

1!.) I seem to go on forever, without getting to the climax, or the raising action!. How can I fix this!?

2!.) because I do need to explain things before I go on tothe raising action, how can I make people want to keep reading!?

3!.) How exactly do you end a story!? I don't want it to have the feeling that I just cut it off, because I was bored with the story!.

I'll add anything if I think of more!. Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The interest that readers will show towards any book depends on five different parameters: the reputation of the author, the reputation of the publisher, the design of the cover, the relativity of the cover to the content of the book and the type of the book (fiction - non fiction)!.

Research has shown that the reputation of the author, the reputation of the publisher and the cover design have the highest impact on the readers final decision!.

People buy books for different reasons: to gain knowledge, to gain pleasure, to feel more intellectual, etc!.

How do you end a story!? well, just end it with like!.!.!.what happened or it could be a cliffhanger!.!.!.where it leaves the reader hanging wondering what happens next!.!.!.or an example of how to end a book would be if in the story, you encountered a conflict that you had not encountered before!. Well!.!.!.the ending to this story might be the the lesson you learned from solving the conflict!.

I hope this helped!.!.!.!.and well, it seems like you are writing a story!? If so, good luck! =)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

1) After writing the rough draft, shorten up the story a bit by deleting the parts that you think aren't important!. Add some details you think that need to be added, also!.
2) Add suspense! What would people not expect in your story!? If you have any ideas of what they would expect, do the opposite!.
3) If you're adding a sequel, try to make them wonder what is going to happen!. Have them jumping off their seat for the next book if there is one by stopping at a certain part and finishing off in the next novel!
