Question: For people who have read and seen twilight, is this a bad idea!?
I just saw the movie Twilight last night, and I wanted to know if it was a bad idea to just go on and read new moon without reading twilight first because I can't wait to read Twilight because I want to know what happens next!. Do you think I would still get it!? Please help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should most definitely read the book before going on to New Moon!. I agree, Twilight was amazing, but alot of things are left out of it!. Carlisles and Alice's background is more extensive and detailed!. You also learn more about Jacob Black and certain other characters!. You'd be totally missing out if you don't read Twilight!. It''s the phenomenon that started it all!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The movie Twilight had only a few of the major events that happened in the book!. You cannot depend on the movie when reading New Moon!. Some parts are different and they make reference to Twilight in the other books as well, so, you should read Twilight!. Twilight also mentions some key phrases like "Do I dazzle you!?" and where the actual title twilight comes from!. You also won't understand the key relationship between Edward and Bella!. In the book, it is told from Bella's perspective!. If you have only watched the movie, you won't understand her, the way she thinks and analyzes little situations!. You don't know how much she loves him!. Hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think and I suggest to you that you should read Twilight first!. They cut out a few things in the movie, and the book is mucho better (I saw the movie as well)!. It will be a bit difficult to understand New Moon if you skip Twilight, especially at the beginning of New Moon!. Oh, and I think that Twilight is the best out of the four books!. I know you want to read New Moon now and Twilight later, but if you do this, after you read New Moon you will want to read Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, and then you will have to read Twilight, which makes it a bit weird, since you will be at the end and you will have to start over again at the beginning!. But that is just my point of view!. So please!. Take my advice and read Twilight now, before New Moon!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you'd be able to understand what's happening in New Moon (though it might be difficult at times) but everybody is right!.!.!.you have to read TWILIGHT! Even if you could perfectly understand what was going in New Moon without reading Twilight I still wouldn't reccomend it!. There are so many cute and funny scenes that you'd miss because they weren't in the movie!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is an AWFUL idea, they cut things out of the movie and you don't get the same feel for the relationship between bella and edward as you do in the book!.!.!. although you might still be able to follow the story line, i don't think you'd enjoy it as much as if you were to read the book first!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That was bad!.!.!.!. There was much more details emotion and just everything in the book again they have to fit the movie in to 2 hours they can't fit every detail in!. your going to be lost, and confused!. My best advice is to read the 1st book even though you watched the movie!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

bad idea!. as with most adaptions, the movie version has cut out a lot of vital information from the book!.

A lot of the things in new moon are related to twilight therefore you need to know them before you read it otherwise you wont know the full story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the only way that you will be able to understand and appresiate new moon is if you read twilight!. they missed so much out of the film

=)Www@QuestionHome@Com

bad idea, they cut a lot out of the movie and you really wont understand her emotional state in new moonWww@QuestionHome@Com
