Question: What do you think of Chris Mccandless story!?

I read the book Into the Wild and I thought the story was incredibly inspiring!. Krakauer did a wonderful job fitting the pieces of Mccandlesses story together!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The book is great, but I still can't fully understand why McCandless did what he did!.!.!.I can to an extent, but it's just really heart-wrenching for someone like him to die like he did when he didn't have to!.

I know he wanted to take control and be adventurous and get something different out of life instead of just graduating from college and becoming a doctor (or whatever his parents wanted him to be)!. I just can't grasp why he would do somethig like that, but it's still an amazing story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I read this book in sixth grade, and, I don't know if it was just the lack of understanding in me, but I thought he was completely stupid to do it!. It's one thing to devote your life to selflessness and helping others, but to just go out and live alone is greedy!. There are other people who need and love you and for you to just throw that away is wasteful!. I think him doing that was stupid, and he should have known better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am like obsessed with the book!. Chris McCandlesses story really inspired me also, its too bad he's dead, he is one person i would like to meet!.!. if you havent yet, i recommend you watch the movie its just as goodWww@QuestionHome@Com
