Well to me you start out with a attention grabber like

for example :
Have you ever wonder what would happen if the world ended!?

something like that haha or something that make a reader wants to read!.

and like everyone said be creative and use your imagination that's all to it!.
don't stress too much about if is really great just know that you should have fun and it will turn out the way you want it too :]

Another one is maybe make a story that make the reader cry because i mean if is not good why would they be so into it to be crying!?

so yeah it just takes a while to really know how to write a great story it takes time so don't rush it :]

dedication!. like when you come to a writer's block, a really good writer will ponder, think about all the reasons why they are doing this and then start writing one of the best paragraphs so far!. you also need to like the idea of your story and understand you characters!. you can look at writing sites where on some they have sheets which asks questions about your characters individually and while answering them you start to get to know your characters much better!.
Advice on Novel Writing by Crawford Kilian!. type it in on google and it should come up!. number 13 is character resumes and all questions about your characters!.

You need to put a lot of thought into it, that's for sure!. Write about things that are important to you!. Use your imagination!. Be creative!. Allow yourself to deviate from the original plan for your story!. Create interesting, but realistic, characters!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
