I read Twilight and laughed so hard when Edward sparkled & glittered in the sun!. What was your reaction to Edward dazzling & sparkling in the sun!?

I have read all types of vampire literature from Stoker to Rice's and don't forget those movies adaptation of vampires!. I can understand where the concept of REAL vampires do not sparkle!. They are fictional creatures that are defined to be sinister, malicious, and evil!. The thought of them sparkling can be ludicrous!. I read Twilight and wont be reading the rest of the series!. The book isnt for everyone and that is why it would be ridiculous to some of us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First off, I'm anti-twilight!.

Second, you can't define what a real vampire is or isn't!. It's different in any series, and it irritates me that people point out several bad qualities in Meyer's vampires!.

Some qualities are good, others are goddamn awful!.
The fourth book made me vomit(nausea of finishing it 3 hours)
it was exploited too much, and it made me realize!.

Wow!. You think vampires are real!? How old are you, still believing in mythical creatures!? Do you believe in witches and werewolves too!? Since there really is no such thing as vampires, anyone can make them do whatever they want!. If Stephenie Meyer wants them to sparkle in the sun, why not!? Just because someone before her made them burn up in the sun, do all vampires have to be that way!? Pretty much the only things vampires have to be to be classified as a vampire is drink blood and live forever!. Well, in Twilight, they do!. Maybe they don't drink human blood, but it shows how much they would like to, that they just don't want to be a monster, that they have a choice!. Its not like they eat pizza and drink pop!. If they did that, then they wouldn't be a vampire!. And your right, we are entitled to our own opinions!.

I wasn't laughing about how vampires don't sparkle in the sun!. I laughed at how purple prosey the description of Edward was!. To say someone sparkled or glittered in the sun is ridiculous!. I'm pretty sure most readers thought he doused himself in body glitter when he woke up in the morning!. This is one of the 200 things NOT to do in writing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

A lot of authors like to create their own vampires!. They don't always have to be like Anne Rice or others!. People come up with their idea of what a vampire is!. And that is exactly what Stephenie Meyer did!.

I personally, thought it was somewhat cheesy!. But in a good way!. I kinda just pretended that it didn't happen when I read the book!. But other than that, I loved the book!. Not as much as some girls do, though!.

In the book i thought it was a new angle to look on the Vampires!. but in the movies it looked ridiculous!.!.!.
