Personification is giving human-like traits no non-human objects!.

For example: The window winked at me!. The verb, wink, is a human action!. A window is a non-living object!.

Personification is basically attributing human features to items that are not alive!. For example, saying a **** got up and danced would be personifying that clock!. It can be used in an obvious, magical sense such as that example or in a metaphorical way!.
