Possible suggestion: you may want to liven up the book with a lively plot!.
But I don't know what you've written and can't judge it from what you have in the 'details' of your question!.
The details must have been hastily written!. (!?)
Nothing should be hastily written by a good writer!.
Don't worry!.
Revisions, several revisions, are always necessary for every piece of writing!.
Suggest you get a knowledgeable person (not friends!.!.!. a teacher, librarian, or person with a degree in English and/or Reading and/or Creative Writing (any type of writing): a mentor) to take a look at your work and let you know what may need to be done!.

If you are thinking of 'self-publication' (vanity press) know that it is costly and ultimately a dead-end for books!. Unless you have a lot of capital and contacts in the book sellers' world you will be stuck with a lot of unsold books!. If all you want is a few copies for self and friends, family, etc!. then go with vanity press if desired!. Check any vanity press out thoroughly as some are only out for up-front money and are unscrupulous!.

If you want to publish your book through regular channels, suggest you buy the currrent copy of The Writers Market (or study it at a library, making notes and copying relevant pages there) and study the first section only!. Study it many times!.
It is also online http://www!.writersmarket!.com and costs only $3!.99 a month subscription to read the entire book (limit yourself to the 'how to publish' section for awhile) and any updates as they occur!.
Good luck in your endeavor!.
PS!. Your age has nothing to do with publication, until and if you may reach a publisher's office for the purpose of signing a contract; then you'll need a parent or guardian to be present as a person must be of adult age to sign contracts!. This is true for self-publication as well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

SKippy thinks a great Idea for a book would be about a Captian who spends his life searching for a whale!. No matter where he looks, he just can find it!. So then he decides to look for turtles and finds them!. Then you turn to the last page, you can lick it and it tastes like grape kool-aid!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think its great how someone can publish a book at just 14, so i say go for it if your really serious about it
and as far as a name maybe "everything for sam" or "poor little sammy", but for a title i need a little more informationWww@QuestionHome@Com

If you want to publish it go for it!. Who knows it may become a bestseller!. You could call it!.!.!.I don't know!. I would have to know more about the book to give it a name!. Just try some titles and see what works! Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!.
How do you plan on getting it published!?

First of all, 14 is really young to have written a book (I had my first novel published when I was 19), so congratulations!.

There are some things you need to know, it is VERY difficult to get published, especially as you are so young, and there are loads of other writers out there trying to do the same thing!.

I suggest you give it to a teacher or someone slightly older to read through for you and highlight any typos and such!. Then, you should look into publishing houses that deal with the type of book you have written and start sending it out!.

You will need to send the first 5 pages of your book (maybe 3) along with a synopsis and a bit about yourself!. If this grabs their attention they may ask for the whole manuscript and then you can take it from there!.

Many people will tell you to get an agent, but that isn't always necessary!.

Most of all, don't get upset if publishers say no, it happens all the time, you just have to bounce back and find someone else!. Try talking to other writers you like and pick their brains for useful information!.

Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
