Question: I have a few questions regarding the book (now movie) Twilight!.!.!.!?
I'm going to see it tomorrow with my girlfriend, and based on my knowledge of the books (from what I've heard & discussed), I have a few questions about the book/movie Twilight!.
1!.) Why is Edward Cullen still in high school if he is over 100 years old!?
2!.) How is it that Edward can fly (in the previews)!? He's not what I imagine when I think of a vampire!.
3!.) In nearly every instance of fiction, vampires cannot be exposed to day light!.!.!. how is it that Edward can stand out in midday and "sparkle" instead of burn alive!?
Just a few questions off the top of my head that I would really appreciate someone answer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1) he is stuck at the age of 17!. He never gets older!.
2) I don't think he flies I think it's the part where he runs with her and he just jumps and looks like he is flying, or the part where he climbs the tree really fast (not in book from what I recall)
3) Stephenie Meyer wanted to make then less scary I guess!. There are a lot of things that he tells her are myths in the book!. (ie they can be seen in mirrors, garlic doesn't bother them, etc!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
1) in our society you need a high school diploma to get a job and he can only use the same on for like 10 years max!.!.!.
2)idk i don't remember him flying in the books
3)artistic liberty's!.!.!.if you are writing fiction you can make your curators however you want
FYI- Twilight is not the only story that has vampires that are able to go in sun light: Amelia Atwater-rhodes had vampires that could go in the sun all the time and Ann Rice (Akasha & Lestat) &Laurell K!. Hamilton (Damian) both had some vampires that could go in the sun at least some timesWww@QuestionHome@Com
1) Because he's stayed in the body of a seventeen year old for that long and his family wants to blend in!.
2)The flying ticks me off no one flying in the book aside from when the characters are in a plane
3)This is just a twist that Stephenie Meyer added to her vampires to make them unique

1) b/c when he became a vampire he was 17 or something, so he still looks that age!. He still goes to HS b/c he is trying to live a different life with his adopted family and live with humans instead of eating them, so it would look weird if he didn't go to school!.
2)I don't think he really flies, he can just jump really high!. He has super abilities!.
3)He can sparkle instead of burn b/c the author wanted it that way!. She wanted to have vampires but in her terms!. This means they don't kill humans, fall in love with humans, sparkle and drive nice cars!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
