Question: Was romeo and juliet really in love or was it just puppy love!?

It was just lust because right before he saw Juliet he was heartbroken because of this other girl that he had fallen in "love" with until he saw Juliet then he was suddenly over it and he had never even spoken to her before!. He fell in love with her looks and I don't think that they were together long enough to know if they were in love yet!. It is telling the story of teenage love, which at times can be quite fickle!. In the story it was puppy love, but if they had lived in time it may have grown into true love!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it was all just a lust thing!. Shakespeare put Rosalind in the story for a reason, you know!. Anyone who can fall in love with someone so fast after being so "in love" with another (and eventually forgetting all about them) isn't in love at all!. Romeo is just in love with the idea of being in love!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In my opinion, love cannot get any more true than that!. Shakespeare was completely aware of the complexities of love, and he displayed it quite carefully in this woebegone tale!. Juliet disobeys the Capulet family to be with him, hence we can expect them to be definite lovers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

have you ever been in love at first sight!? where you see a guy/girl and you're just like WOAH, he's the one!? that's kind of how they were!. they knew it was meant to be the moment they laid eyes on eachother, and it went from there!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

since their romance was cut so tragically short I guess only shakespeare really knows the answer to that one!. If it were longer we would have found out if it were just a major case of puppy love or actual real love!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Who knows, they died!. But from what i know it must have been pretty serious love if juliet was prepared to kill herself over Romeo's death!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's hard to say however they were willing to - and did - die for each other , I think it was love Www@QuestionHome@Com

at first it was lust, then eventually over time it became love!.
