Question: Writers: Where do you get your inspiration!?

It is my lifelong dream to write a novel!. I'm pretty good with the mechanics of writing, but low on ideas of how to actually start!. Where do you get inspiration!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Anywhere!.
The World!. Watching and listening to everything in the world is a good way to open your writing senses to fresh ideas!.
Dreams!. I use my creative visions from dreams to come up with some of my stranger ideas!.
People!. The people closest and dearest to you are great sources of inspiration!. What they do, say and feel effects your life normally!. Why shouldn't it do the same for your writing!?

Tip: Remember that writing should be your way of communicating with the world!. Embrace it if you want to go far!. If your looking to write more as a hobby, then I can't help you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most of the time ,right before i start to write,
being an amateur poet!. i put myself in a
certain mood,depending on the emotion
i want to have come to life within my prose
or poetry!.once i'm enveloped within this
mood,i'm oblivious to anything and every
thing around me!.At this point the words
and thoughts start coming to me!.I don;t
get up til i'm finished!. If i get up before i'm
finished!. its all over,the mood is broken!.
i can't go on!. with that particular poem
or piece of prose!. i relax and try some

I find that songs often can be very good for story ideas!. Evanescence' first album, fallen, is so good for that!. I don't think that even songwriters take their work as good literature, but it can be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
