Question: Know any girl nicknames!?

I'm writing a story about a girl in the 50's playing baseball with a bunch of guys!. One of my favorite movie's is the sandlot and I like how they have nicknames for people like "yeah-yeah" and "Ham" and "Repeat" and I love how for the new guy they call him "Smalls"!. I was trying to think of a nickname for her since she's a girl!. Her name is Connie Saunders and she's practically a guy, but in a girl way!.

How about inventing some sort of incident which gave her the name!? Something along the lines of one of the other kids taunting her about playing like a girl and her really belting one out, or her skills as a shortstop so they call her "pickles!."

I think you could pretty much use any of the guy nicknames you have picked out!. It is the fifties so maybe a play on the space race or the cold war like "A-bomb" if her name was Annette or Allison, or Sputnikki for Nicole and her way of hitting pop flies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, in the 50's, few boys would have liked having to play baseball with a girl!.!.!.so, they probably wouldn't have been nice about it!.!.!.But, if you're thinking of a nickname that maybe her brother or dad started, Con-Rad like what "MOM KNOWS EVERYTHING" said sounds cute!. What does she look like!? If she has red hair, "Red" is an obvious one!. "Sandy" could work, too, because of her last name!. Or you could have them turn her first name into a male name, like "Conrad"!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
