And if so then how do you expect your 'writing' itself to be up to par with someone like Zane!. Seriously if you aren't capable of figuring out on your own how to submit to her or to get her attention with a well crafted letter or e-mail or even by going to her booksignings where you could perhaps meet her in person then are you really ready to become an author who carefully researches their work to make it authentic or for that matter one who has properly reasearched the art of writing!. How about the industry of publication!. There is so much to learn as well as who you know that you should know at least the basics before attempting to promote yourself as you want to come across in the best possible light!.
If you are a student or a older person who is looking for a mentor then you write a personal letter and see what type of response you get!. If you are a serious writer you go to the website and see what type of contests she has available and post your work!. Since apparently you didn't know this let me hand feed you this tidbit of information!. Periodically Zane reviews submission posted on her different sites it is through these 'open calls' that she contacts newly published and unpublished authors and compile there work (through contracts and the like) into anthologies!. Promoting new authors through Strebor!. Keep in mind she has several projects up coming one is a televised (cable) adaptation of her story though she does not play herself, another is her as herself promoting black influenctial personalities in the community, she has also been promoting her anthology purple panties which is a collection of 'lesbian' short novella's and has been doing much to speak on behalf of writers and authors of that community since the book had come under fire!. However I have a friend published in Zane's Carmel Flavor II and she was selected from the internet submissions!. I don't know if it is under Strebor or just some random blog or such, I think that's what research would tell you!.

Honestly if you are going to insist you wish to be a writer than the least you could do is stop short cutting today and invest some real time in research!.

Go to the bookstore or the library and get the Writer's Market!. You will find a list of publishers who are interested in the sort of thing you're writing!. You'll find info about new writers, submission guidelines, contacts, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
