Question: Who else besides me hates Twilight!?

I refuse to read those stupid books! I can't stand hearing people freak out and "faint" over this stupid movie coming out also!. They some how happen to "fall in love" with this guy who doesn't even exist!! It's so annoying! They get soooo over the top emotionally attached to them! It's driving me nuts! Well I agree 100% with you and I READ THE BOOKS and I still think they suck!. They're so bad!.

But can you really blame the teenyboppers who read them and think they're amazing!? It's probably the only book they actually read outside of school!

I know all my friends that love it aren't as big readers as me so they really don't know what good writing is!.

Anyways yeah, it's especially annoying on this site though because every other question is about Edward and his "sparkly" (ghey) good looks!. It's nauseating to be honest!.

ahahaha!! i live with a 13 year old girl (my boyfriend's daughter) who has found her first love in Edward Cullen!. I think it is something innocent but mysteriously sexy that awakens some newly discovered urge in twilight readers!. Edward is a "safe" crush for young girls because, well, he is fictitious, but more so, because the consummation of his and Bella's love is forbidden, so everyone is safe just talking about it!.

From what I have read about the books, I do not like them; and the more his daughter demands that I read them, the less I want to!. They are a dumbed down- cheasy paperback sex novel series, and I want them to go away as much as you do, because if I have to see one more anime "fan art" depiction of Edward and Bella, I might start becoming blood thirsty too!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Have you read the books at all!? They are pretty good!. The movie looks a little juvenile but the books are pretty good!. The 1st one is really good anyway!. And people fall in love with any characters in a book!. It's a world of fantasy!. A world where the perfect man exists!. Seriously, Edward is like the perfect man in twilight!. You should at least give it a try!. I normally don't like the whole vampire & make-believe-land books but twilight was pretty good & I'm really glad I read them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

personally, i like twilight!. i like the books and all!.!.!. but everyone is wayyyyy to dramatic about it!. Yeah i agree with you, i hate hate hate hate HATE it how everyone is like, "yeah i hate jacob , but im future mrs cullen" et cetera!. I think they are taking it way out of proportions!. they need to get ahold of themselves!.
BUt i wouldnt refuse to read the books becauseof peoples reactions!.I really would recomend them to anyone, just dont make a huge fuss out of it, okay!?

well, i can say you aren't the only one!. while i have read the books, i think that they were definitely written for preteens and the such because the are just to "flighty" in terms of emotions!. I do agree with you when you say that the girls who are fainting and screaming about a character in a book are just simple!. each girl has pictured "Edward" in a totally different way so how are all of these girls screaming about how much they love him!?

I do agree with you that people are going a little over the top with the excitement of the movie!. I have read all the books & loved them and I am excited for the movie but it is starting it get crazy!.

You are not the only one!. Although I do not completely agree with you, you are entitled to your opinion!. I do hate it how people are freaking out over the books, though!. That's something I'd never do!. I thought Twilight was great, New Moon so-so, Eclipse good, and Breaking Dawn horrible!.

Alot of the time, people "fall" in love ith the characters because they're not real!. simply put, they have characteristics that actual people could never have!.

I've read the books myself and I liked them!. Although I don't really like Edward!. I have to say how do you know that you hate the books if you haven't or refuse to read them!? honestly, your going to get a lot of crap because you just said you havent read them!.

i wanted to see what all the fuss was about!. so i read them!. i felt my iq dropping for every page i turned!. those books were useless drivel!. everyones all in love with edward, even though he is a COMPLETLY ficticious character (borderline abusive towards bella i might add!.) and yeah, im sick to death of people talking about the movie like its the second coming of christ or something!.

now, just so everyone knows, i read!. i read A LOT! i even took a whole college level course on William Faulkner simply because i enjoy his work!. so its not like i dont know a good book when i read it!. I too refused to read them for the longest time, and then I broke! I read the first one and sure enough the others followed!. To be honest they weren't the best reads, but I was amused!. If you decide to read them, I doubt you'll get caught in the pop culture sweeping of this series, and you'll find yourself simply enjoying a book!. ur crazy, and mental!. they are the greatest books ever!. you have to read them!. honestly the first time i heard of it i said, "EW vampires" but now im addicted, and a tad bit over obsessed!. but if you tried i swear you would LOVE them!. but don't judge it, or any other book, if you haven't even read a single page in it yet!.

I think people can get way too obsessed with things!. My friends have been trying to get me to read it, before this whole twilight craze, but even then a lot of people were reading it!.
