Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I've read part of the book!. And I've seen the movie!. I thought the book was good, and the movie was good also!. It was sad when Johnny died, and then Dally was shot!. It was so sad at how he was crawling towards his friends (or was he crawling towards the fuzz!?) after he was shot like 3 or more times!. I almost cried!. It makes you wonder if it was really like that back then!. I almost want to ask people that lived through that time if greasers (I think they really called poor people that back then) were really treated that way!. It makes me sad to think if it really was like that back then!. When your poor you can't do a lot of stuff!. You can't afford to get in trouble either, because you don't have a rich Daddy to bail you out!. I think that's it's terrible that a lot of people jump to conclusions when they don't even wait to hear your side of the story!. I like the book and the movie!. Hope that answered your question!. I think it really opens peoples eyes to how that people that don't have much money live!.Www@QuestionHome@Com it was an awesome book and movie it was very dramatic I read it last year in english and I love it The way Darry steps in to take care of his brothers it heart warming And Ponyboy and Johnny have heart warming friendship as well The movie was very different but the actors were SO HOT! but the book is still the best And I did cry when Dally got shot because the police thought he was going to shoot them but his gun was un-loaded!. I didn't think it was the best book ever, but it was good!. What I didn't like was how two characters had to die!.
