Well I don't think that he was all that responsible for the dark literature as I'm pretty sure he was severely depressed which would explain his heavily alcoholed lifestyle!.
As to his death, there's a lot of argument as to how exactly he died, some say he drank himself to death, which would make him very responsible!. But I've also heard that he was murdered because he owed someone money he couldn't pay!. I suppose he could be responsible because he shouldn't have borrowed the money in the first place!.
About the poverty - it was very common back then to be apprenticed early so that you could learn a trade and do it for the rest of your life!. Poe was a writer so as long as he followed his art he would never really have a sturdy income!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have a lot of audacity to tell people to answer this question and then stipulate they cant use a resource you could easily use to answer this question for yourself!.

That said, your question isn't very clear!. To what do you refer to!? What/Which experiences!?

His alcoholism, reported drug use, military career, writing career, gambling issues, marital issues, health!? Be more specificWww@QuestionHome@Com

That question is rather vague!.

Poe dropped out of school, fought with his stepfather, married his cousin who later died young, and himself died an alcoholic at age 40!. Is this what you mean!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
