It depends on what kind of writing you like and which themes interest you!. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is about racial issues!. Angela's Ashes features a man's upbringing in poverty in Ireland!. The Grapes of Wrath is depressing, again about poverty, but this time set in the States!. In Cold Blood is about two murderers!.

Personally, I'd be more interested in In Cold Blood or I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings because I haven't read them!. Angela's Ashes is good, but The Grapes of Wrath depressed me for days!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Grapes of Wrath is one of my favorites!. I didn't really enjoy the other two!.

The Grapes of Wrath is significantly longer than the other three, if your looking for the easier novel I'd pick the one by Maya Angelou!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
