Question: What exactly is in a query letter!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The query letter should be short and sweet, about one page!. It should have what the manuscript is about, audience, age, format, word count, a bit more about the book, why the writer chose that particular company, similar books in the marketplace, unique marketing ideas, publishing background, and contact information!. A self addressed, stamped envelope is usually required!. Some agents won't even read the query without one they can use to respond!. But sometimes the agency will not consider the writer if they have not read the full book, depending upon the agency!. Some query letters might need to have a chapter by chapter review of the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
