I loved this book - laughed out loud all the way through!. Ignatius took a "job" selling hot dogs, but, he ate so many of them that he only earned about a dollar for the day!.

"Geek Love" by Katherine Dunn is a wonderful book!. This strange couple own a carnival, and in order to be sure that they always have freaks for the freak show, they decide to make all their children freaks!. With various pregnancies, the mother eats Dran-o, LSD, and all sorts of poisons and chemicals!. She has a boy with flippers who lives in a tank, conjoined twins, etc!. The story is narrated by the "most normal" one - a bald albino humpbacked dwarf!.

the whole books great but my favorite part would be Ignatius's odd and hilarious relationship with his mother!.!.

if you liked confederacy of dunces you should try "Road to los angeles" by john fante!.!.the protagonists are very similar lazy, smart asses yet hilarious!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
