Well the big reason Odysseus is a hero is that after he dies at Troy, he descends to the underworld, where he meets Orpheus, who is a great singer!. He manages to defeat the evil deamon Loki and retreve Orpheus's Harp for him!. He and Orpheus then set out to escape, but Orpehus won't go without Persephone!. Orpheus manages to charm the deamons with his song, describing the creation of the world, and the first spring coming to the Earth!.

Eventually they make it Bifrost, the rainbow bridge from the afterlife to Earth, they defeat the Cyclops that guards the bridge, escape and Odysseus manages to make it back to his wife, only to find that he has been dead for ten years, and she has gotten re-married!. Odysseus kills Perseus (the 2nd husband) by using his special bow that only Odysseus could use, and retakes his throne and his wife!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

LOL!!! I wrote an essay on this last year!! I siad he was a villian because he was selfish and if he cared so much about gettin home to his family he wouldnt have stopped and spent all that time with circe and all!. but i dont remeber the details sry!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
