I am currently writing a book, and i go through phases!. Sometimes I can write for weeks on end, sometimes I can't!. And it's not like it's writers block exactly, because I know how my book is going to flow!. It's just, i think i get tired, or weary of writing!. Then, if i leave it off, and don't touch it for a while, more often than not, I come back writing with a vengeance! This ever happen to anyone!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Its cool that your writing a book!. I am too!. Right now I am calling my book Drifting Under the Moon!. And I would like to say that I'm only 12 years old and in 7th grade!. Before you stop reading because I'm so young just please listen!. Writing to me is more than a hobby!. It's a passion, a part of me, the tears from my heart, all I'm trying to say is that I love writing and that it means more to me than a lot of things!. So when I get writer's block I just let myself go!. Instead of writing what Im supposed to write I write from deep in my heart and just let my soul free!. I start writing a single sentence of maybe something that inspires me then I let myself go and just write!. Usually I get something I really like that I can use or something that inspires me!. Here is an example that I have wrote!. Please don't use any of it!. It danced like an ocean!. Coming up to my waist and tickling my fingertips!. The long grass made me want to dance along with it in its ballet but somehow I felt impaired like I wasn’t allowed to!. Something wouldn’t let me free; it held me like a slave, bound to an owner and only allowed to do what they wanted!. It crushed me under its weight, never letting me take a breath!. I wanted to scream but it escaped my lips floating away like a butterfly!. I felt it coming!. It brewed inside me turning and boiling until it burst through my chest leaving a gaping hole that would never be allowed to heal!. The ocean of golden fury and fire rippled around my body and ripped through my chest yet again giving the feeling of freedom!. It coated me like honey thick and sticky and hard to get off, slowly oozing after the explosion, healing the wound and soothing!. Try to stay in that genre however!. also, sometimes I can't write one thing because there is another idea forming in my mind!. I have to get it out!. So, let yourself write other things, just to get them out of the way!. Then you might find it easier to keep focused on your project!. During the six years it took to complete my novel, I wrote nearly fifteen short stories, some of which won awards!. They also helped keep my name out there while I was finishing up this more serious piece!. Just keep at it!. You'll get there!. Every book is written the same way, one word at a time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Sometimes I can get like that, but I usually overcome that by reigniting my interest in what I had begun to write about!. Try reading stories in your genre, or talking to friends about your ideas!. also, I find it helpful to 'talk' to your characters when you don't feel like writing, even if its just to help remember them!. I too am writing a book, i was kinda getting tied and bored with writing, plus i had school exams, so i stayed away from it for a few weeks and started writing it again yesterday and I feel more calm and eager to write!. (I'm a poet) It's for any kind of an artist, so writing, of course, falls into that category!. It helped changed many of my artist friend's blockages, too!Www@QuestionHome@Com |
