Position:Home>Books & Authors> Ok tell me wht you think...?Question: Ok tell me wht you think!.!.!.!? i am trying to write a book!.!.!.i am 8 chapters in now and i am stuck!.!.!.its about a girl who falls asleep and is stuck in her dream!.!.!.which turns into a nightmare almost instantly!. she is shot and attacked and almost killed but deosnt wake up!. she knows that she will never see her family or the love of her life again and she has to fight her emotions constantly!. where should i go nowWww@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Here are some ideas and food for thought: A) If you have acceptably detailed her getting stuck in the dream and thoroughly portraid some entertaining/suspensful situations, perhaps it is time to work her way out of the dream B) Now might be a good time to insert a twist in the story, something like bumping into someone else who is real and stuck in the dream or she discovers its not really a dream but she's trapped in some form of a parallel universe C) Have you written anything about her family and the love of her life!? What's this lover doing!? Is there a way to incorporate him/her as entering the dream to rescue the main character!? I truly hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com This sounds like a great concept!. Does she ever figure out it's a dream!? Does she begin to feel invincible and begin to fight back and in the process is unwittingly fighting her way back to reality!? Does the love of her life get caught in the same dream and both are required to accept their state and work together to change their fate, either love or anger or whatever forcing them wake up or be caught in this 1/2 state forever!? Maybe she figures out she can't be killed by allowing herself to die in the dream only to discover she can't!. Or maybe her fear of being killed keeps her up and about and when she falls asleep or dies in the dream the family, boyfriend and doctors are now able to revive her in reality!. Maybe the boyfriend is sent into her dream world to tell her this and it is her love and faith in him that allows her to die in the dream and live in reality!. J!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com You're going to just have to keep throwing conflict after conflict, make the dream get progressively worse and worse, and just when it looks like it might get better it gets a heck of a lot worse, and then finally, she begins to see the light of day!. What's the main plot and theme of your story!? Overcoming a Fear!? Escaping!? You need to get a handle on what your actual Plot is!. What are the subplots!? A romance!? A betrayal!? Stuff like that!. Writing a good story takes a lot of practice and understanding of what elements are needed!. Here's some good books to buy to learn the craft of writing!.
