People are unhealthily addicted to them, until they realize that it's crap through and through!Www@QuestionHome@Com Escapism, pure and simple!. Life is tough and (at least for girls) guys make it tougher!. It's nice to escape from time to time to a place where guys worship the girls they love!. I'm not a teenager anymore, but I've read the books and it's a nice fantasy to think you could be with someone, literally, forever!. As for HP, it's unfair to lump those books with "Twilight" because the only thing they really have in common is Robert Pattison (actor who plays Cedric Diggory in HP4 and Edward Cullen in Twilight)!. And, while I'm at it, I'll just add that both series get a bad rap considering the great things they have done for reading among young kids!. The fact is, kids just don't read anymore and anything that can get them excited about books is probably a good thing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I guess you can say that one reason why lots of people like it is because it's very different!. Stephanie Meyer (the author of Twilight) has changed everything about vampires!. Vampires aren't the afraid-of-fire-sleep-in-coffins-thing anymore!. If you read other vampire books, like Vampire Kisses, and others, they're about the same thing over and over, and it can get boring after a while!. As for me, and this is just my opinion, I'll say that Twilight is the best vampire book out there!Www@QuestionHome@Com i dont read harry potter either!. the reason i love the twilight series is because its different!. you fall in love with bella in the very begining!. She also catches you on a hook!. and its hard to keep away!. also its a teen book that deals with issues that we might be experiencesing (only with a vampire)Www@QuestionHome@Com I have no idea!. I read them all and they really aren't that great (and the 3rd and 4th one sucked really bad btw)!. It's just because of Edward, even though he watches her sleep and gets her pregnant at 18 (how sweet, right!?)!. The books made me happy, mad, sad, astonished, etc!. I LOVED them, and I became addicted!. Honestly!. I read all 4, plus the 12 chapters of Midnight Sun, in 3 days!.
