Question: What are some good books to read i am 13 and like fantasy books but not with really mature parts !?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
maximum ride series- james patterson
daniel x- james patterson
uglies series- scott westerfeld
peeps- scott westerfeld

these books are great for all ages and there arent really any innapropriate parts so they're good!. my personal favorites are peeps and max rideWww@QuestionHome@Com

Some fantasy books I've loved (without mature parts):
--J!.R!.R!. Tolkien's The Hobbit
--The Island and the Ring by Laura C!. Stevenson
--The Shadow Warrior by Pat Zettner
--Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
--The Hero and the Crown; The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley (Companion novels that can be read in any order!. The Hero and the Crown is actually first, and if you want the histories of the people, read them in order!. Otherwise, the order doesn't matter!. also, if you like fairy tales, Robin McKinly has a book called Beauty: A Retelling of the
Story of Beauty and the Beast!.)
--The Goblin Wood by Hilari Bell
--Well Wished by Franny Billingsley
--The Neverending Story by Michael Ende (one of my favorites)
--Scott Westerfield's Midnighters series is interesting!. (If I had read it younger I would have liked it more!.)
--Suzanne Collins has a series called The Underland Chronicles, which starts with Gregor the Overlander (It has an odd concept, but it is an awesome series!.)

And, if you like fairytales I suggest:
--Shannon Hale, specifically Princess Academy and The Goose Girl
--the Once Upon a Time series (Each book is written by a different author!.)

also!.!.!.a little side note: I wouldn't want my own sisters (And they're much older than 13) to read Twilight, as I've already seen one suggestion!. It's not even well-written and not even worth it!.

I hope you read something that you like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My daughter was about your age when she read Elizabeth Moon's The Deed of Paksenarrion!. This is a very large book--if you buy the book by that title it is a 3-in-one edition of a trilogy!. The three books are "Sheepfarmer's Daughter," "Divided Allegiance" and "Oath of Gold!." They are about a sheepfarmer's daughter, named Paksenarrion, who runs away from home to become a soldier and becomes a lot more!. There is a lot about the fight between good and evil, and why the "gods" let bad things happen to good people, etc!. Some difficult things happen to Paks, but nothing I would feel uncomfortable about someone your age reading!. This book is a favorite of our whole family; we named our one-year-old after my daughter's favorite character (NOT Paksenarrion!)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I was little I liked "White Fang" of Jack London and also "Peter Pan" and "Peter Pan and Wendy"!. The books are much better than the movies!. I still have "Peter Pan and Wendy" and it has some nice black and white drawings in it!. You should read these at your age!.
I liked also the tales of Charles Perrault, Hans Christian Andersen, Grimm Brothers, it's not so late if you hadn't yet!. I guess you know the popular tales, but there are more of these writers!. The tales from my country have more actions and more characters but I don't know if there are english versions for them!.
Even at my age sometimes I like to read tales especially when I am down (not all the times when I am down)!. You get into a such more better world and you see everything different after!.
My language is not so popular to recommend you to read something, but I will try to get some english versions so people from everywhere will know of them!.
Hope you will still be around!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The InkWorld Trilogy by Cornelia Funke--kind of hard to get in to but once you do you're hooked! (And they're coming out with a movie with Brenden Fraser too!!)

The Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray--one of my favorites! Great ending!. Totally unexpected!.(about to make a movie about this one too!)

The Guardians of Time Trilogy by Marianne Curley (AMAZING ENDING!)

Chronicles of Narnia by C!.S!. Lewis---I'm in college and still read these books! Amazing!. And the movies are excellent too!. :)

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeliene L'Engle--there's a few movies about it but none are super great!.!.!.entertaining though!. AMAZING book--it's a series but I haven't read alll of them!.

Lord of the Rings by J!.R!.R!. Tolkein---Movies are great too :)

Harry Potter, of course!.

Eragon by Christopher Paolini (I think that's how you spell it!)--I haven't read the last one though so I don't know if the ending's good---the movie was a disaster!.!.!.

ANYTHING by Scott Westerfeld---my favorite's Midnighters!.

!.!.!.You're probably going to get a whole lot of Twilight answers on here but I wouldn't suggest it till you're a couple of years older!.!.!.it starts out not super mature but then the whole lovey dovey stuff escalates!.!.!.!.good books though!.
