adventure book?

Question: What makes a good romance/adventure book!?

Im writing a book but i dont want it as!.!.!.!. tense as twilight, more easy going - twilight was amazing but the book i want to write isnt just about love, its more - what advise can you give me!? thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The romance genre follows a very specific formula!. The love story is the most important plot line!. The characters come together and then part, usually due to a miscommunication!. There is usually a triangulation!. They come back together for a happy ending!. The reader gets to eavesdrop, if you will, into the private lives of the chacters!.

I never understood why women read romance!. It's the same story over and over, just different characters, circumstances and periods in time!. But then I learned there is a great comfort in reading the genre!. It's emotional and escapist, but the reader is comforted by the formula!.

A few romance writers have tried to break out of the formula and have not had any success!.
