Question: Suggest Books for me to read!?
Don't Like - Harry Potter,Lord of the Rings,Romance,Fantasy or Sci Fi

I Like - Black Comedy, Fiction, basically books someone with a sense of humor/personality similar to a male Daria or Jane (from daria) or Janeane Garofalo would like

I am a 23 year old Male so please something close to age appropriate and gender appropriate!.

I have a dry and sarcastic sense of humor!.I also want books on the more unconventional side, because I get bored with the same old thing all the time!.I also want something that is a bit of an easy read because I have a short attention span but not too easy or I'd get bored with it!.However I also want something that isn't too predictable because I don't like things I can see the ending a mile away!.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Fight Club, Choke, or Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk!. All of his books are dark and hilarious!.!.!.!. and they make you think!. And they're all quick, short reads!. He is my favorite author of all time!.

The Lust Lizard of Melancholy Cove- Christopher Moore!. It's about a town full of depressed people, and all their medications get switched to placebos [so pretty much ever one goes crazy] all while a giant lizard that makes everyone around it incredibly horny shows up in town!. It sounds dumb, but it's hilarious!. And a very quick read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would suggest A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess!. It might seem difficult at first because the main character Alex speaks in a slight Russian slang, but after a while it gets easy!. If you're having trouble you can look up a glossary online!. Honestly though, it's my favorite book!. It's witty and smart and I find it to be very interesting and enjoyable!. I've read it about 5 times!.

(Oh and if you've seen the movie, the book is a zillion billion times better, so don't judge it from the film, ok!?)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like the book "FADE" kind of interesting only a slight bit creepy, um "The giver", "Eating the Cheshire cat", " Go ask Alice" is pretty good!. "Submission" was awesome!. " The handmaid's tale" I loved!. Other than that I can't really help as I love Potter, LOTR, AND Romance and SCI FI!. Good Luck luck with the book hunt!Www@QuestionHome@Com
