Question: Is it true that Hercule Poirot commits suicide!?
Wikipedia says that he dies of heart complications, but I keep hearing rumors that he killed himself by means of his heart complications!. Which is it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, basically that is true!. I remember reading Curtain!. Poirot knew who the murderer was, but it couldn't be proven, as I recall!. Therefore, Poirot killed the murderer without any remorse and waited for his own death!. He was already dying, but moving the medications only hastened it - so it was, technically, a suicide!. The more shocking thing in the story was the fact that Poirot actually killed someone, albeit the murderer who would have gone free!.

I think it was Poirot's very sense of justice that caused him to do what he did!. A murderer should not go unpunished, thus, the true murderer must die and so must Poirot!. (Just my thoughts on it!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com
