Question: What Do You Think Of This Plot!?

I'm writing a story, and this is the plot!.

"There is a group of people looking for jewels on an uncharted island, and the island's covered with, beasts and monsters, and then they find the jewels, but the jewels are cursed, and the members of the group that make it back to their home, start getting killed off, one by one, and the jewels they had disappear when they die!."

Cursed jewels have been used a lot, but nevertheless, with the right twists and turns you could make yourself a fine masterpiece!. Detail is very important, but don't describe too much!. Character development is also one of the keys to making a wonderful story!. Remember, it's the characters that make the story!.

it sounds a little bit like deltora quest (the jewels bit) and jeopardy (getting killed off as the journey on however they got red eyes instead) the story is a little unoriginal however it really depends how you pull this off which can make is original as original cheese!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like it!. It has potential for all kinds of twists and turns!. Does anyone ever escape the curse, and do they ever figure out it was the jewels that were killing them!? Do individual jewels disappear when certain people die, or do they all disappear at the end!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not very original!. But with some modification, it can become something!. As a short story, it would be useless!. Needs a lot of research and back round!. How do the jewels get back to the island!?
By magic, boat, plane (train!?) or people, and why!?
